In the first 10 months of this year, Baiyun district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, registered 5,751 new market entities, surpassing its annual target of registering 3,800 new market entities.
Among the newly-registered market players are 1,693 enterprises and 4,058 self-employed households.
Since the beginning of this year, strong efforts have been made by Baiyun to improve business registration services and administrative approval procedures, making it possible to set up an enterprise within one working day.
Meanwhile, Baiyun was approved as a pilot site for the construction of a national intellectual property site with strong competitiveness in 2022.
In the first half of this year, it completed 612 patent authorizations and currently holds 945 valid invention patents.
