Tofu Pellet is a famous local snack in Guiyang city, Guizhou province. It has tofu as the main material, and onion, ginger, monosodium glutamate, pepper, star anise, alkali and salt as the condiments. All the ingredients are stirred and kneaded into egg-sized pellets, which are then fried to a brownish yellow before being taken out of the frying pan. 

When eaten, the tofu pellets are dipped in a soup made of soy sauce, chopped green onion, sesame oil, vinegar, pepper, and chili powder. Tofu pellets always taste crisp and tender.
