Baiyun district provides insurance subsidies for enterprises

To deal with the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak, Baiyun district has so far provided a total of 97,500 yuan ($13,767) in insurance subsidies to ensure the orderly resumption of work and production at 129 small and micro enterprises, according to the bureau of finance of Baiyun district in Guiyang, Guizhou province, on June 12.

Companies that purchased insurance for epidemic prevention and control before March 15, 2020 and resumed work before the purchase, or less than three days after the purchase, can apply for the subsidy.

In addition, key enterprises will get 50 percent of insurance premiums at the municipal level while small and micro enterprises will get the corresponding 50 percent at the district level.

A total of 137 enterprises, including eight key enterprises, have received the subsidies according to the latest statistics. And Baiyun district has made significant efforts to ensure the smooth and immediate release of the subsidies.
