The Guizhou Jiaying new-energy intelligent industries project, one of the key projects of Baiyun district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was put into production on June 29.

With a total investment of 4 billion yuan ($571.97 million), the project, developed by Guizhou Jiaying Science and Technology Ltd, mainly produces new-energy power-saving batteries and high-rate batteries for automobiles, electricity towers, unmanned aerial vehicles and household use.

The project involves two phases of construction. The first phase covers an area of more than 40,000 square meters. Once it is in operation it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 800 million yuan and to provide jobs for more than 400 people.

To guarantee smooth production, the Baiyun authorities have made efforts to solve problems for relevant enterprises through field investigations and online guidance.

According to the authorities, the project's second phase plans to attract 3.2 billion yuan. At present, one of the production lines has started while the other three lines will be utilized in the second half of 2020.
