In Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, Baiyun district held a meeting on Feb 26 with Jucheng Enterprise Management Group to sign cooperation agreements.
Officials from the district and representatives from the group participated in the meeting.
Bu Lan, head of Baiyun district, gave a brief rundown of Baiyun's economic and social development at the meeting. She said the district promotes the integration of big data and the real economy and will offer a first-class business environment for companies to invest in.
She said that she hopes the cooperative projects between the two sides could start construction soon.
Huang Ke, a Jucheng Enterprise Management Group representative, discussed the group and the cooperative projects at the meeting.
Huang said that the group is an investment holding group company that integrates information technology, new energy, industrial park operations and overseas business. It has leading advantages in the optical chip and optical communications industry.
The group will invest in Baiyun district to build a new technology industrial park, an industrialization base that integrates an optical technology industry center. It will also construct an AI industry center and a global science and innovation trading center.
With a total investment of 4 billion yuan ($61.8 million), the output value in the five years following the project's completion will be 6 billion yuan, offering employment to 1,800 people, said Huang.
