Baiyun district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has promised to fulfill "10 good deeds" for its residents in 2021, according to a recent announcement.
This covers areas including employment, education, medical care and rural revitalization.
In 2021, the district will increase urban employment for 10,170 people and transfer 2,085 rural laborers. It also plans to incubate startup teams for six enterprises.
The district will improve education quality, building the new campus of No 6 Middle School, and building 12 primary and secondary schools and kindergartens, which will offer 3,000 enrollment places.
In terms of medical health, Baiyun district will improve public sports facilities at the national fitness center, construct three fitness venues, build and open a maternal and child health hospital and increase the capacity of public medical institutions by 310 beds.
The district will promote rural revitalization and transportation enhancement, upgrading 200 rural toilets, building 2,400 mu (160 hectares) of high-standard farmland and putting 16 new energy buses into use, among other tasks.
This year, five community comprehensive management centers will be built and put into use.
Baiyun's living environment will also be improved, as 800 family homes in shanty towns and urban villages will be transformed, 463 old communities will be upgraded, and 160,000 square meters of urban green space will be added.
In addition, Baiyun district will promote its cultural tourism resources, improve healthcare facilities for children and the elderly, and offer more living convenience for residents.
