The launch ceremony for the "Smart Baiyun" integrated command and dispatch center was held on March 31 in Baiyun district of Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
Bu Lan, head of Baiyun district, attended the ceremony with other district officials.
Relying on digital technology, the Smart Baiyun platform creates multi-dimensional smart scenarios covering government affairs, people's livelihoods, education, transportation and ecology. It promotes the integrated development of big data, the real economy, social governance, urban construction and more.
It will help speed up data interconnection and mutual sharing, as well as promote efficient urban governance and the modernization of governance systems and capabilities.
At the ceremony, Bu requested that all departments establish a data co-construction and sharing mechanism and fully tap the value of data.
She said she hopes that the technology development units will continue to support Baiyun's growth, and that citizens will make use of "Fingertip Baiyun" app to enjoy the convenience brought by big data development.
The directors spoke about the construction of the Smart Baiyun platform and demonstrated how to tackle items related to government affairs, people's livelihoods, education, transportation and the environment.
Until now, Smart Baiyun has integrated more than 8,600 sets of front-end internet of things (IoT) devices, connected 59,310 devices and collected 1.2 billion pieces of IoT data.
The platform is expected to enhance the efficiency of governance and bring great convenience to residents.
