Baiyun district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has launched a series of measures to introduce medical and health professionals over the past few years. The aim has been to promote the development of the district's medical and healthcare sector.
The measures were introduced at the medical and health talents salon held on April 21, which was a part of the district's 2021 "talent day" event.
Baiyun has introduced more than 100 types of health-focused technical personnel due to its simplified procedures and targeted employment measures. Currently, nine people in the district's health system have been included in Baiyun's second batch of experts, while eight people have been included in the third batch.
The district has offered life incentive subsidies for qualified medical professionals, provided living allowances for retired rural doctors and given performance rewards for medical staff members in primary medical institutions.
In addition, the district has deepened the reform of the medical and healthcare system, improved the disease prevention and control system and accelerated the reconstruction and expansion of the people's hospital and other hospitals. These steps have greatly improved the district's medical resources.
Baiyun district will strengthen talent training and discipline construction of medical and health institutions, promote talent introduction and offer better services for medical professionals, said an official from the district's health department.
