Baiyun district holds forum on education system

The education talent salon and the first principals' forum of Baiyun district's education system was held on April 21 in Baiyun district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Part of the district's 2021 "talent day" series of activities, the event attracted the participation of representatives from Baiyun's education bureau and related departments, as well as principals from the district's public primary and middle schools and kindergartens.

Themed on teacher development and the future of Baiyun's education system, the forum focused on the economic and social development of Baiyun, the development of Baiyun's talent town and the development of enterprises and talents.

Participants discussed topics such as typical education reform and innovation situations in the district and problems experienced while training educators in Baiyun district. They also promoted the expansion and inclusiveness of pre-school education, balance in compulsory education, the characteristic development of high school education and quality improvement of vocational education.

Principals from several schools also delivered speeches at the forum, exchanging their viewpoints and experiences in education reform and school governance, among other areas.

Baiyun district will take steps to support the professional development of teachers and optimize assessment and appointment methods to improve the quality level of Baiyun's education system, according to Fan Xuanxiang, deputy director of the district's education bureau.
