A traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) healthcare project of Guiyang city was launched on April 29 in the Dashandong sub-district in Baiyun district. The project focuses on community education and is the first of its kind in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
Jointly launched by the TCM healthcare school of Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Guiyang branch of Guizhou Radio & TV University, the project aims to further promote the development of community education in Guiyang and to bring high-quality health education resources to communities.
According to the agreement, the two sides will build a community TCM healthcare experience base in Dashandong sub-district, which will regularly open to community residents. They will also cultivate a team of community education and healthcare teachers and a team of community TCM healthcare volunteers.
In addition, the partners will combine the needs and feedback of community residents in TCM healthcare to establish the Guiyang community education TCM healthcare curriculum system.
TCM healthcare micro-classes and health knowledge will be promoted to residents and online and offline expert lectures will also be offered according to residents' needs. These aim to raise residents' TCM healthcare awareness and build a healthy community environment.
A healthcare lecture was also held during the launch ceremony, where professors from Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine gave lessons to more than 50 residents on TCM healthcare methods and skills.
