The Quanhu sub-district in Baiyun district – located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – held a painting event on June 19, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
More than 300 people, including teenagers and their parents, joined in the fun, painting on a canvas that stretched 180 meters.
Participating teenagers and children were from middle and primary schools, as well as kindergartens in the district. They reportedly were very enthusiastic in painting their image of an ideal and beautiful life.
During the event, Party history knowledge Q&A sessions, singing and other activities were also held.
The sub-district plans to hold more activities, including cultural and art performances, to celebrate the big day.
