A provincial mushroom museum was launched on June 21 in Baiyun district of Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The museum serves as Guizhou's edible fungus industry's domestic and foreign trade integration demonstration base, which is overseen by the China Chamber of Commerce of I/E of Foodstuffs, Native Produce and Animal By-products.

The establishment of the museum is a part of the province's efforts to accelerate agricultural modernization. It aims to promote the high-quality development of the edible fungus industry in Baiyun district and make contributions to the district's rural revitalization.

The mushroom museum includes six functional areas: a thematic image display area, a popular science area, a cultural and creative products area, a deep-processed product display area, a research and study area, and a tasting experience area.

Through graphic introductions, specimen displays, online interactions with the Guizhou Academy of Sciences, tastings and other means, visitors can learn about edible fungi and the development of the industry in Baiyun district and Guizhou province.
