A distribution center for agricultural and sideline products in the Baiyun district in Guiyang – capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – reportedly received its certification for acceptance on July 20.
Construction of the distribution center, which is located in Shawen village in Baiyun district, started in June 2018, and it covers 179,000 square meters of floor space.
Currently, the center has signed up 460 merchants who have registered their intention to move there, with plans for 600 individual retail outlets, reaching more than 80 percent of the projected target.
After the center is fully leased out and starts operations, it is estimated that it will trade 200,000 metric tons of products each year, worth over 3 billion yuan ($460 million).
