Baiyun initiates COVID-19 vaccinations for teens aged 15-17

The Baiyun district of Guiyang -- capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- recently initiated its COVID-19 vaccination program for teenagers aged 15-17.

The designated site is a large COVID-19 vaccination clinic in the Baishaguan of Baiyun district.

The vaccines to be used are produced by the Beijing Institute of Biological Products Co, Sinovac Life Sciences Co and the Chengdu Institute of Biology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Youngsters receiving the vaccines must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and they must bring ID cards.

In addition, for the young people to be vaccinated, parents or guardians must fully read and sign an informed consent form.

Before going to the vaccination station, recipients can set up an appointment on the Yunbao Intelligent Connection System.

As of Aug 3, a total of 451,600 doses gave been given to residents living in Baiyun.
