Baiyun district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has made great achievements in new-type industrialization.

In the first seven months of this year, Baiyun added 129,000 square meters of standard workshops and completed 540.58 mu (36.04 hectares) of industrial land acquisition and storage.

The funds in place for newly introduced projects were valued at 6.04 billion yuan ($906.23 million), of which industrial projects accounted for 50 percent.

Of the 21 newly-introduced projects, 95 percent have started construction.

The prior and leading industries in Baiyun had a total industrial output value of 8.06 billion yuan, accounting for 79 percent of the district's total output among industries above designated size.

At the beginning of this year, Baiyun introduced a new industrialization implementation plan, which declares a development model of establishing industrial clusters for the new energy industry, aluminum intensive processing industry, and beverage-led high-end mass consumer goods industry.

To attract investment, Baiyun has continued to improve its business environment and strengthen enterprise services.

To date, a total of 26.15 million yuan has been granted to Baiyun's enterprises.

The difficulties faced by enterprises during production and operation have also been handled by local departments, building their confidence in further development.
