Baiyun district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has obtained 2.48 million yuan ($372,093) in funds to support rural revitalization this year.
The funds will be used in 12 projects involving rural road upgrading and reconstruction, the construction of villager cultural activity squares, and road lighting installation.
All funds have been put in place and construction has begun on all 12 of the projects.
The projects are scheduled to be completed in December this year, and are expected to benefit 8,700 people and play an essential role in improving rural infrastructure, villagers' productivity, and living conditions.
