Baiyun enterprise scoops up China Quality Award

A company from Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – recently achieved something of a breakthrough for the city when it won the Nomination Award at the 4th China Quality Award.

This was reportedly the first time a Guiyang company had won the award, which was announced on Sept 16. 

The China Quality Award is the highest honor in the field of quality in China. It aims to promote scientific quality management systems, models and methods, promote quality management innovation and spread advanced quality concepts.

The Guiyang award winner is AVIC Standard Parts Manufacturing Co, an R&D operation and manufacturer for China's aviation industry, producing aircraft,  complete engine sets and a full range of standard parts.

The enterprise is located in the Baiyun Economic and Technological Development Zone, in the Baiyun district of Guiyang.

The company won the award for its project called "Quality Control Technology Management Model with Digital Manufacturing as the Core".

This system reportedly integrates production line automation, intelligence, informatization and digitization. 

By building an advanced digital manufacturing platform for products, it is said to achieve balance, visualization and refinement for the entire production process –from orders to product delivery. 

Digital testing is also carried out in the process, to further enhance the capacity of automated production and informatization management and control. This effectively promotes transformation and upgrading for the high-quality development of enterprises.

A senior executive at AVIC Standard Parts Manufacturing Co said, from the perspective of social benefits, the system can drive the transformation and upgrading of the industry's quality management model. 

On the other hand, he said it would promote the overall improvement of industry product quality, increase corporate operating income and significantly reduce labor costs.
