The Baiyun district – located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – is reportedly advancing the development of public facilities which its locals can access in a stroll of 15 minutes.
A total of 13 areas will reportedly be included in the program, which will cover Baiyun's five sub-districts.
Under the Implementation Plan for the Construction of a 15-minute Living Circle in Baiyun District, it will establish two 15-minute living circles in 2021, six in 2022 and five in 2023.
New parking lots and on-street parking berths will be gradually built to satisfy residents' parking needs.
Another five fresh food supermarkets covering 210,000 square meters will be constructed.
Additionally, from 2021 to 2023, the district plans to renovate 11,651 shanty towns covering 2.25 million sq m, renovate 6,845 households with a floor space of 308,000 sq m and renovate 82 back streets and alleys.
