The rural revitalization strategy has been innovatively and efficiently carried out in the Baiyun district of Guiyang – capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – and particularly impressive results are said to have been delivered.

In 2021, the added value of the primary industry in Baiyun came in at 830.77 million yuan ($124.65 million), up 7.3 percent year-on-year.

Moreover, the per capita disposable income of the district's rural permanent residents was 23,547 yuan, a gain of 9.9 percent.

What's more, Baiyun has been proactive in the treatment of its living environment and in its industrial development, in order to advance its rural revitalization.

Due to such efforts, Baiyun has realized the integration of its urban and rural water supply, the treatment of its rural domestic waste and sewage and the rectification and upgrading of residential houses.

It is understood that the district has a total of 17,200 mu (1,146 hectares) of land given over to grain production this year.

Summer grain planting has been completed on 0.3 million mu of land, completing the task set out for 2022.
