During this year's May Day holiday from April 30 to May 4, the Baiyun district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, proved to be a big hit with tourists.
During the five-day period, Baiyun's main scenic spots were visited 268,489 times. That generated estimated tourism revenue of 128.44 million yuan ($19.27 million).

Guiyang Joy World, Quanhu Park, the Changpoling National Forest Park and Penglai Wonderland were among the most visited sites during the break.
As of May 4, Baiyun had reported no COVID-19 related cases and received no reports of accidents or complaints from tourists.
