A waste incineration power generation plant in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will be put into use within this year.
It is expected to increase the city's total waste incineration capacity to 4,700 metric tons per day.
The main structures of the plant's workshops and dormitories have already been completed.
Installation and ignition debugging for the No 1 incinerator system have been finished, and the No 2 and No 3 furnace systems are currently being installed. The plant is about 90 percent complete.
Construction of the plant is a move by Baiyun district and Guiyang to improve the environment and strengthen their fight against pollution.
