More than 6,100 residents employed in Baiyun in H1

Baiyun district in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, saw 6,111 urban and rural residents obtain employment in the first six months of this year, according to information from the district's bureau of human resources and social security.

During the same period, 2,030 people completed vocational training and 143 enterprises had cashed out in stabilizing jobs and returning to work, with a total cash amount of 543,300 yuan ($81,515.38).

The results were delivered under a series of policies to boost employment and work resumption.

Focusing on the employment of key groups, Baiyun has supported and guided returning migrant workers to start businesses in their hometown.

For college graduates, the district has implemented an employment and entrepreneurship promotion plan. Preferential policies such as subsidies for college graduates' self-employment, social insurance subsidies for the employment of college graduates, and small guaranteed loans were implemented.

The district has strengthened employment and entrepreneurship assistance and policy publicity for veterans in various forms, such as providing one-stop services for disabled veterans who wish to find employment or start a business.

Meanwhile, Baiyun has established a sound entrepreneurial service mechanism, accelerated the development of key groups of entrepreneurial incubators, and provided entrepreneurs with low-cost venue support, guidance services and policy support.

Additionally, Baiyun has continued to strengthen vocational and entrepreneurship training. Comprehensive quality improvement training and practical skills training were carried out for unemployed persons of different skill levels and educational backgrounds.
