Since the outbreak of the new wave of COVID-19 in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, departments and enterprises in the city have been moving to safeguard people's livelihoods while tightening virus prevention and control measures.

Guiyang's Baiyun district has reserved 27 types of emergency supplies, including sampling tubes, barcode paper, masks, protective clothing and alcohol, which can meet three days of epidemic prevention needs.

Chengwei Group, a resident enterprise of Baiyun district, has taken on the responsibility of guaranteeing local material supply and transportation.

As of Sept 4, all 179 nucleic testing sites in Baiyun district were equipped with a special vehicle, a driver and a worker from Chengwei Group to ensure virus supplies can be delivered on time.

Meanwhile, Chengwei Group is in charge of the food supplies and daily necessities of around 1,300 teachers and students at the Baiyun No 9 Middle School.

All supplies needed by the school have been prepared in advance.

A 24-hour shift work mechanism is currently being used by Chengwei Group.
