During this year's National Day holiday on Oct 1-7, enterprises in the Baiyun district of Guiyang – the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – continued production, in order to catch up with their annual schedules.
As of Oct 5, a total of 48 enterprises above a designated size – those with annual revenue of 20 million yuan ($2.81 million) or more – were required to continue with their output. This was because the new round of the COVID-19 outbreak in Guizhou since early September had significantly affected their production targets.
