Baiyun district in Guiyang city garnered high praise from the public and tourists during the Spring Festival holiday for its vibrant activities, rich folk performances, smooth transportation, and heartwarming services.

From Jan 28 to Feb 4, the district welcomed 485,900 visits and generated tourism revenue of 279 million yuan ($38.19 million). Compared to 2024, visitors increased by 38.8 percent and tourism revenue by 45.8 percent, ranking first across the city.

Various events, such as fireworks displays and lantern festivals throughout the district, created a festive Chinese New Year atmosphere for residents and visitors. The Penglai Xianjing scenic area, Quanhu Park scenic area, and Guiyang Happy World Theme Park collectively received 120,000 visits, up 17.87 percent, with a total revenue of 10.83 million yuan, up 31.4 percent.

Baiyun district's events included the "Spring Festival Intangible Cultural Heritage Customs Exhibition", paper-cutting art exhibitions, and performances of Penglai local opera, allowing residents and tourists to experience the charm of traditional culture.

Major supermarkets, Chinese New Year markets, and commercial shopping streets in the district were also bustling with promotional events, attracting many residents for holiday shopping.
