In 2024, Baiyun district in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, comprehensively advanced rural vitalization. The district firmly took responsibility for protecting arable land and ensuring food security. Its total arable land area reached 49,900 mu (3,327 hectares), and grain production increased by 14.3 percent. Vigorous efforts were also made to implement modern industry projects. The combined output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery industries reached 1.59 billion yuan, a growth of 3.6 percent.

This year, Baiyun district will accelerate the establishment of a modern agricultural industry system. It will expand the edible fungus industry chain, promote the intercropping of grains and vegetables, and cultivate market entities for vegetable planting and sales.
The district will also focus on the fruit industry, promote the "enterprise + farmer + cooperative" model, and expand fruit picking experiences, cultural displays, and other tourism projects to boost the added value of fruits and increase market sales.
