Magnolia trees lining Zhaohui Road in Baiyun district, Guiyang, have burst into bloom, marking the most beautiful time of the year. This annual spectacle has attracted many residents and tourists who admire and photograph the flowers.
"This year's blooming period is a week earlier than usual, and the petals are fuller," said Wang, a photography enthusiast who had already set up his tripod, focusing his lens on the magnolia blossoms.

As the day progressed, more photographers arrived, including over 10 professional photographers offering their services to visitors. Each photo costs between 15 ($2) to 30 yuan, with daily orders exceeding 50 sessions.
These fragrant magnolias have also spurred a booming "flower-viewing economy". By the afternoon, restaurants along Zhaohui Road were packed with customers.

"The blooming season is our busiest time of the year," said the manager of Qianji Teppanyaki Restaurant. He noted that their daily table turnover rate has increased by about 40 percent compared to usual. "Besides our regular patrons, we see an increasing number of visitors coming to enjoy the flowers. We've also introduced some new dishes inspired by the magnolias, which have been very popular."
This 20-day floral season not only beautifies the cityscape but invigorates the local economy. During the magnolia season, business revenue around Zhaohui Road has increased by 50 percent compared to the period before the floral season.
