5th Guizhou Shilong Cherry Blossom Cultural Festival held

The 5th Guizhou Shilong Cherry Blossom Cultural Festival was held on April 12 at the Yihe Shilong Ecological Park in Niuchang township, Baiyun district, Guiyang.

Pink blossoms blend beautifully with green leaves in the cherry blossom garden, creating a refreshing scene. Visitors wandered through the sea of flowers, stopping to admire and capture the moment with their cameras.

"It's the peak blooming period for cherry blossoms. I came here to relax, and being surrounded by these beautiful flowers makes me feel rejuvenated. It's a convenient and affordable way to unwind," said Ma Yingtian, a visitor participating in the cultural festival.

The park features over 20 varieties of cherry blossoms, with pink and white blossoms currently in full bloom. The cherry blossoms are expected to remain in their prime for another two weeks. The festival offers a variety of interactive activities, including the traditional Bouyei welcome wine ritual, Bouyei folk songs, bamboo pole dancing, and a public football class. Additionally, 50 kites are prepared for distribution.

Yihe Shilong Ecological Park is a comprehensive agritourism park covering about 680 mu (45 hectares). It encompasses ornamental trees, premium orchards, forest adventure activities, picking experiences, and under-forest planting and breeding. It also offers professional training, seedling cultivation, and a mountain park.

Niuchang township has continuously explored and expanded the flower-viewing economy to extend the tourism industry chain and enrich rural leisure tourism offerings, further invigorating the local cultural tourism industry.
