Guiyang Coffee Industry College opens

On Aug 17, Guiyang Coffee Industry College was inaugurated at Guiyang Vocational and Technical College. The college utilizes existing programs, faculty, and resources in tourism and culture industries, partnering with local government, coffee associations, and coffee enterprises to carry out sharing, joint development and management.

It offers specialized courses in coffee preparation, tasting, and roasting, while collaborating with Guizhou coffee brands to create localized teaching materials. Extended programs, including "coffee cultural tourism services" and "e-commerce live streaming", aim to train versatile, multi-talented professionals.

Practical training bases provide hands-on experience across the full coffee chain – from cultivation to store operations. The college also integrates Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) certification, allowing students to earn both academic and professional credentials. Graduates are directed to Guiyang Coffee Industry Park and local tourism projects, supporting a complete, efficient coffee industry ecosystem.
