Guiyang and Gui'an Cherry Blossom Half Marathon attracts 6,000 runners

As a supporting event of the 20th Guizhou Tourism Development Conference, the 2026 Colorful Guizhou Half Marathon Super League (First Stop) & Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area Cherry Blossom Half Marathon kicked off in Gui'an on March 29.

A total of 6,000 marathon enthusiasts ran along routes passing Baima Avenue, Qing'an Avenue, and Shugu Avenue, before ultimately returning to the starting point, completing a "sports + culture and tourism" springtime rendezvous.

The event not only highlighted Gui'an as an "important economic growth pole in western China", but also combined the romantic atmosphere of cherry blossom season with professional road running competitions through the deep integration of "sports + culture and tourism".

After fierce competition, Zhang Shu from Guiyang claimed first place in the men's category, while Zhang Shanshan from Zunyi secured first place in the women's category.

As the first stop of the 2026 Colorful Guizhou Half Marathon Super League, this race marked the beginning of a running series spanning all four seasons. The super league consists of four full marathon stops, four half-marathon stops, and one final, and introduces for the first time a "running passport" check-in system, allowing runners to experience the beauty of Guizhou's landscapes and the joy of sports across different seasons.
