Guiyang airport's new ride-hailing pickup point improves passengers' travel experience

Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport opened a new ride-hailing pickup point on Sept 24, aiming to improve ground transportation services and enhance the passenger experience.

The new ride-hailing pickup point features systematic upgrades to the pickup point layout, operational organization, service facilities, and smart management to improve both the passengers' travel experience and transfer efficiency.

As of Oct 7, it had cumulatively served 22,682 ride-hailing vehicles, with the number of passengers picked up and dropped off increasing significantly.

The original ride-hailing pickup point on the second basement floor of Terminal 2 was relocated to the ground-floor parking lot, while a new ride-hailing pickup point was simultaneously added at Terminal 3.

Scientific traffic diversion was implemented for entering and exiting vehicles, balancing the vehicle capacity load of the two terminals and achieving clear and orderly pedestrian and vehicle flows.

The walking distance for arriving passengers to board vehicles has been shortened from 1,000 meters to 150 meters, and the walking time reduced from approximately 15 minutes to 2 minutes.

The airport has optimized dedicated parking spaces and passageways for ride-hailing vehicles, added a 400-square-meter canopy with a sculpted design, repaired over 100 meters of walkways, and fully equipped rest seats and guide signs, creating a comfortable and convenient waiting environment for passengers.

Moving forward, the airport will dynamically track operational results, standardize and optimize service processes, and systematically improve support efficiency, using intelligent and humanized services to continuously enhance passengers' sense of satisfaction and happiness during travel.
